Psychotherapy is a collaborative, exploratory process which invites curiosity and compassion. Examining past experiences to illuminate the present and current thoughts and feelings as they arise during sessions is fundamental. Our aim is not to dwell in the past, but to understand how it informs the present. I draw on different approaches and tailor my approach to what you need. My work is primarily psychodynamic, combining insight and reflection, but I also address your interpersonal interactions and ways of coping.

My supportive approach helps to establish a connection in which you can feel heard. We will work together to uncover issues and behaviors that have stopped you from being able to reach your goals and experience a sense of well being. In the process, you will acquire greater self awareness and discover coping methods that will support your development. Through integrating intellectual, emotional, and physical dimensions of experience, you become increasingly able to live more fully in the present.

As a therapist, I offer depth-oriented psychotherapy to women, men, and transgendered individuals of all ages, ethnicities and sexual orientations. I enjoy working with a variety of people with different needs. I take into consideration the larger social setting that goes beyond one's family history.
